PADI Enriched Air Diver Course

PADI Enriched Air Diver

Many scuba divers are constantly looking to progress in both their knowledge and experience. If you are one of those divers who want to go to the next level in diving, perhaps you are interested in the benefits of using EANx (Enriched Air Nitrox).

Nitrox  is a gas mixture of oxygen and nitrogen. The air that we breathe normally is about 79% nitrogen and 21% oxygen (with trace amounts of other gases present). When we go scuba diving, we usually use a scuba tank filled with compressed air. However, with special training, you can extend your bottom time to explore the underwater world.

Nitrox is handled differently because it increases the risk of fire and also increases the risk of oxygen toxicity. You must not use enriched air without the proper training required.

In the PADI Enriched Diver Course, you will learn about the reactions that your body has when you breathe various gas mixes at different depths. You will also learn how to find out what’s in your scuba tank and how to change the settings on your dive computer to match the gas you will be breathing. After you complete this course, remember, this counts towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
