Divers from the IMT Rally

16 December 2017

We recently had two guys come diving with us from Dubai, Abu and Nitin. They had travelled all the way from Dubai as they were participants of the second India-Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Motor Rally, which successfully completed its first leg from Guwahati to Bangkok, on the 3rd December 2017. The rally started off from Guwahati on the 25th November. The total number of participants was 50, including five women. They were driving SUV vehicles.

The rally crossed over to Thailand at the Mae Sot Border on the 2nd December and reached Bangkok on the 3rd December, via the old capital Sukhothai. The Rally covers over 5,700 kilometres and is intended to promote the relationship between the three countries.

We’d had an email from two guys asking us about the diving packages we offered and what sort of dive program would be suitable for them. We never imagined that they would be particpants of this great event. When Steve picked them up to take them diving, they were both very excited to explain to us in great detail.

It was a great pleasure to know that they took time out from the rally to visit Pattaya and come scuba diving with our company. They had read many of the good reviews on Trip Advisor about our diving services and decided to choose us.

We are pleased to say that both of them did very well underwater, which probably made a great change from the long driving expedition.
