PADI Underwater Navigator Course

PADI Underwater Navigator Course

Are you one of those scuba divers who can’t seem to make it back to the boat, as your sense of direction is not all that good? Are you always having trouble navigating your way around a dive site? This specialty course teaches you how to find your way around underwater so you can get you and your buddy back to the boat.

As part of the course, you will go on three dives from the diving boat and you will learn how to plan and organise your dive as well as the procedures and techniques of underwater navigation.  You will practise using your compass and how to use underwater patterns and read the underwater environment.

Knowing where you are and where you are aiming to dive is great for locating your favourite coral or a specific place where some marine life might be. It is also very helpful for getting you back to the boat without long surface swims that are tiring.

If you are only PADI Open Water or the equivalent, then you may be able to use this course as credit towards your Advanced Open Water Course.

Underwater navigation can be challenging, but it can be made a whole lot easier with this navigation course. Perhaps you can be the scuba diver who everyone wants to follow because you will not get lost!
